JCS Chairman

Dear Colleagues and fellow members of IAFMI, HAGI, IAGI, IATMI and PERHAPI,

As JCS 2025 Chairman, I am delighted to welcome you all the Joint Convention Semarang (JCS) which will be held from 1st to 3rd July 2025. The Convention will focus on the critical theme of “Sustainable Energy Resilience: Indonesia’s Path to Self Sufficiency”.

This event offers a valuable platform for experts, industry stakeholders, and academics including professionals, executives, educators, and students to come together and engage in in-depth discussions on key challenges related to Indonesia’s energy transition and the sustainable

management of its natural resources. This year Joint Convention will bring a fresh format of program and execution delivery, as this year IAFMI annual convex event FFPM will be hold as part of the JCS. We are hoping to see a big turnout of participants as well as exhibitor supporting this event. Thank you for joining and supporting this event, I am truly excited to engage in discussions and collaborations with all of you.

About Joint Convention Semarang

The Joint Convention (JC) is a biennial conference and exhibition hosted by Indonesia’s Professional Association namely Ikatan Ahli Fasilitas Produksi Minyak dan Gas Bumi Indonesia (IAFMI), Himpunan Ahli Geofisika Indonesia (HAGI), Ikatan Ahli Geologi Indonesia (IAGI), and Ikatan Ahli Teknik Perminyakan Indonesia (IATMI). The JC was initiated back in 2003 by HAGI and IAGI every two years, and was later joined by IATMI and IAFMI in 2015. Since 2023, Perhimpunan Ahli Pertambangan Indonesia (PERHAPI) joined as co-host, expanding the circle of influence by bringing more stakeholders from mining industry. Together, these association joint forces to raise awareness of the emerging topics in the landscape of energy, sustainability, and mineral resources through dialogue and discussions with relevant stakeholders.

As a prestigious conference and exhibition event in Indonesia, the event has successfully attracted more than 1,000 visitors and participants to meet and network, as well as presenting opportunity for participants to showcase their research and paper, lessons learned and best practices.

The next Joint Convention will be held on 1-3 July 2025 in Semarang, Central Java with main theme “Sustainable Energy Resilience: Indonesia’s Path to Self Sufficiency”. The theme was chosen to align with Indonesia’s Government Development Strategy in 2024-2029, also known as Asta Cita. Each association hold key role in producing and delivering energy in a sustainable way, environment friendly and reliable manner, contributing to the nation’s long-term energy security.
